Hirshel

This is one of my all-time favorites from our collection of art--most of which is our art because we are poor artists. The deer mount is from the 1930's and was found in the first classroom that I taught in in rural South Dakota. Johnny rescued it, attached a hot air balloon to the left horn, and made a painting/screenprint that mimics the sculpture. The picture doesn't do it justice, but I absolutely love it and I think its one of the only works that I will never be able to part with.
